About 18 years ago I inherited some hand engraver's tools and never learned to use them. The engraving shop where I worked primarily used machines with one hand engraver who didn't have time to teach me. Learning to use them was a dream of mine but now with 4 children and a husband the time isn't there. I am ready to part from the tools. I need to inventory to see what I have. I am looking for someone to engrave a FIRE FIGHTER'S TRUMPET. It will need to be hand engraved on the bottom portion. I believe the stem can be done by machine. It is made of pewter, 19" tall, and 8" round at the base. If you GOOGLE "Images" of Fire fighter trumpet or bugle and find one from the 1800's you can get an idea...Don't get scared off though, my request of artwork is much simpler! I had one done 10 years ago by Pike Jewelers and he told me that it was the first and the last one he will do. He put a lot of time into it and it's beautiful, but now I need another one. I am looking for 2 small sections of scroll work and a fire fighter's scramble or an old steamer in the middle of the scroll work. On the stem I need possible olive leaves (or similar) going up about 4" on either side with name, rank and date in the center of the leaves. I have a sterling silver birth record spoon that I would like engraved. I have inquired at several jewelers and for some reason they or their hand engravers can't do the job. I'm having a very nice sterling silver braclet made for my daughter. I want "Banzai Girl" engraved on the outer surface of the braclet so the engraving needs to fit the aesthetic character of the piece. The inscription has a great deal of personal signifcance. Good afternoon. My son is coming home from Iraq in two weeks, and we are throwing a huge party for him. There will be many gifts for him when he arrives, including a dog tag we purchased for him online. However when we received the dog tag, the words "made in Italy" weren't engraved all the way through. Only the words "made in" need to be touched up. Would it be possible to send it to someone so they can just make the two words a little deeper? Seems like a rather simple job, so I am hoping that someone can accommodate our request. I have a trophy that needs to be hand RE-engraved before it can be re-plated. The 24 letters (10 are capital letters) are faint and will be lost altogether in the re-plating process unless it's re-engraved first. I was married in England in 1973. I moved to the USA in 1979. In 1989 my house was burglarised when I was having surgery and was told to leave all jewelry at home. I have been very sad about the loss of my original wedding ring. I never had a picture of it. I remember the design in my head. The ring was a very wide gold band, 5/8 inch . There were flowers called chrysanthemums engraved on it with leaves and vines. It would make an old lady who has been married for 43 years, very happy if I could find someone in Philadelphia or nearby who could recreate the design for me on a plain gold band.

I am looking to find an engraver who will do some scroll work for a wedding band. What I'm looking for is something like you see on many firearms except on a ring. Looking to have a Buck model 500 Duke folding hunter engraved (not lazer etched) on one of the s.s. bolster areas with my Grandson's monogram.
